The executive governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has congratulated Super Eagle striker, Victor Simhen for his recent award.

and we celebrate him for being an enviable ambassador of our dear state.”
Victor Simhen who hails from Edo State is a Super Eagle striker. He won the 2020 Prix Marc Vivien Foe Award by RFI for the best African player in the French football league.
Victor joins the leagues of Vincent Enyeama who won the award in 2014 and many others.
He was chosen by a jury of sport journalists specializing in French and African Football.
Osimhen arrived in Ligue 1 in 2019 to replace Nicolas Pépé who left for Arsenal F.C. He quickly became one of the biggest scorers of the French championship.
With 13 goals and 4 assists in 27 games, the 21-year old Nigerian is amongst the best players of Ligue 1.
