The Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, A.I.C Akwarandu has reiterated Governor Emeka Ihedioha’s commitment to deliver only projects of the highest quality, and in the shortest possible time.
The Governor’s Aide, yesterday, led a team on inspection tour of the ongoing road construction sites around the State.
The team observed that life has returned in earnest to the sites, with contractors back to work.
The roads visited include:
Aba Branch/Ahiara Junction/Okpala Road;
Okigwe Municipal/St Mary’s Catholic Church in Okigwe;
Assumpta/Ibari Ogwa-/PortHarcourt Road;
Concorde Boulevard Road;
The team also observed that the earlier-launched Operation No Pothole campaign is still in full swing, with areas like Civic Centre, Ahiajoku Convention Centre Roundabout linking PH Road, Bank Road to Control Post, Item Street, WAAST Avenue Ikenegbu layout, Old Diamond Bank Owerri Regional Headquarters Road all receiving re-asphalting.
The New Media team also spoke to the contractors on ground, who shared their willingness for quality service delivery in line with Governor Ihedioha’s mandate.
Speaking to newsmen after the inspection exercise, Akwarandu went on to drum for support for the #RebuildImo administration, urging that in no distant time, the issue of bad roads will be a thing of of the past.
