Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has announced that he has taken steps to address victims of police brutality in the state.
In a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle on Friday, October 16, Akeredolu revealed that his administration was moving to address complaints by residents.
The governor, however, noted that although the problem was not with the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the southwest state, he understood the protesters and stood with them in the struggle against brutality.
The same is the story in Kaduna state, where Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Friday, October 16, approved a panel to look into allegations of brutality against the police in the northern state.
Like Akeredolu, El-Rufai tweeted the state government’s action on his verified official Twitter handle.
The panel gathered, is an inclusive one that has youth representatives also involved.
