Don’t Blame God For Nigeria’s Situation – Obasanjo Tells Leaders
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former president has called on Nigerian leaders to stop blaming God for the country’s challenges such as insecurity, bad economy, poverty, and others.
In a report by Daily Trust, Obasanjo explained that in 2021, Nigerians must work and pray hard towards putting Nigeria on the part of growth and development.
The former Nigerian leader made this on Tuesday, December 29, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Obasanjo in his 2021 message to Nigerians declared that the nation’s woes remain the ‘choice’ of the leaders and followers. He insisted that the narrative must change as the country approaches a new year.
While describing 2020 as a year of many challenges, the former president stated that Nigeria does not have to be poor and no citizen must go to bed hungry with enormous resources available in the country.
Speaking on how Nigeria can recover from the economic recession, Obasanjo said the country needs to do the right thing.
